The Agfa N92-VCF combines outstanding lithographic quality with easy handling and excellent durability. However, because the Agfa N92-VCF is a chemistry-free plate there is no need for a developer, meaning that one of the main variables affecting image consistency disappears. Instead of using standard plate processors, newspaper printers can now use less expensive clean-out units (COU). However, when preferred, it is also possible, with the installation of a simple modification kit, to re-use an existing plate processor as a COU. Chemistry-free operation increases the green credentials of any newspaper keen to minimise its environmental impact.
