The Degrava DP8500 Digital Press is a unique, versatile, and low cost system for printing labels, tags, tickets or other narrow web applications. The proven LED engine and patented continuous feed paper technology consistently and efficiently produce high-quality, durable full color images. The DP 8500 prints directly from a PC or Mac using constant, sequential, or variable data. Complete with an onboard Onyx RIP server, integrated stand, Degrava Color Pro software and other accesories, the DP 8500 is a reasonably priced print solution that is easy to setup, use, and maintain. The Degrava DP 8500 is a complete digital printing system that will afford you the opportunity to enter the digital marketplace at a fraction of the cost of previous digital solutions.
Simplicity with Speed
The DP 8500 has a toner based continous printing system that prints on industry standard converted or non-converted face stocks, paper, synthetic, and adhesive backed substrates. Color is automatically calibrated, and our patented pinch roller system provides uniform media tension for precise color registration. Degrava's patented continuous feed paper technology combined with the OKI C7350 single-pass Digital LED engine results in a unique and affordable short-to-intermediate run printer for print-on-demand, four color label applications.
Label Printing Excellence
The Degrava DP8500 print engine is optimized for label printing with the ability to print 2 inches per second in black and 10 feet per minute with full color. It also allows for a maximum of 5 inches per second continuously (roll or fan fold media compatibility). The DP8500 can provide Standard Variable Data Printing for text, photos, graphics and barcodes with print jobs up to 1000' in length. Black mark and transmissive media sensors support material that can be die-cut and slit in another process for flexible media choices.
Full Color Management Support
The DP 8500 comes with Color Management Software which includes a fully licensed PANTONE color library, and support for FOGRA, SWOP, Japan Color, Euroscale and Custom ink simulations. The unit prints from PC or MAC graphics programs, manages sequential or variable data, and networks up to 4 printers.
