The latest 24-inch, professional, A1 wide-format printer, the Epson Stylus Pro 7880, incorporates a forward thinking design with newly enhanced, Epson Ultra Chrome K3 ink with vivid magenta technology and three black inks.

Wide Colour Gamut and Unrivalled Image Quality
Using the latest the latest development in pigment chemistry, offering a wide colour gamut and unrivalled image quality from an 8 colour ink set, the Epson stylus pro 7880 prints with uncompromising quality shared by all 3 new models in the Epson x880 series. With two paper paths, the 7880 supports a wide range of roll and cut media capable of handling virtually any media type, in roll or cut-sheet, up to 24 inch wide (610mm) and 1.5mm thick. With an even higher level of ink droplet accuracy than found on previous Epson printer models, the MicroPiezo AMC print head has been enhanced with exclusive ink repelling coating technology to dramatically reduce nozzle clogging.

Every Print The Same As The First
The Vivid Magenta inks help produce slightly better detail in the shadows, and, combined with the new screening technology, give better overall tonal gradations throughout all your prints. The two magenta inks use new high-density pigments that create more vibrant colour, especially blues and magenta, for example those found in seascapes or landscapes. Furthermore, the use of three levels of black ink provides neutral or toned black-and-white prints with impressively high-density levels and virtually no metamerism or bronzing. Every print will be the same as the first, even if the artwork is printed months apart, making it ideal for studios producing limited edition print runs, fine art, photography and printers producing colour calibrated proofs.

Improved Print Head, Enhanced Cutting and Ethernet Interface
In addition the Epson 7880 offers a new enhanced cutting sequence delivering a faster and more productive printing workflow, a new Ethernet interface as standard and an improved print head with Epson Super Halftone technology, with a new image processing engine for dot mapping. This helps enhance the image detail that may be lost in low-resolution images. Furthermore, the Micro Piezo print heads are designed to last for the life of the printer.
