Adobe's Portable Document Format PDF is now the standard for submitting files for workflows and printing. However, as customer choices for PDF creation become more complex, the potential for costly errors increases. ORIS PDF Tuner is a cost effective way to fix supplied PDF files quickly and accurately creating print ready files, including PDF/X-1a and PDF/X-3.

 3  PDF Tuner can open and edit image DCS files from Adobe Photoshop. ORIS Works is required to open and merge PostScript DCS files from QuarkXPress and other desktop applications.
 4  Import and/or export of some file formats requires an optional ORIS module. ORIS Works is required to open and merge separated 1-bit TIFF and CopyDot EPS files. ORIS Works can process pre-screened files for common prepress tasks, such as imposition, but it requires a separate screening engine to generate screened files from unscreened data.
